Humanitarian Nature: Tracy Lawrence will receive the 2023 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award and KUZZ/Bakersfield PD/on-air personality Brent Michaels will accept the 2023 Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award during the CRS 2023 New Faces Of Country Music Show March 15 at Nashville’s Omni Hotel. “Tracy Lawrence’s and Brent Michaels’ contributions go far beyond simply lending their names or influence,” says CRB/CRS Board member and CRS Awards Committee Chairwoman Beverlee Brannigan. “Each has devoted personal time, talents and resources over a significant period of time.”
Lawrence’s contributions include the Tracy Lawrence Mission: Possible platform, which has raised more than $2 million to fight homelessness. In the past year, he has awarded funding to 14 organizations, and his turkey fry and benefit concert events have served up 73,000 meals. Lawrence’s Mission: Possible Celebrity Golf Classic also raised $800,000 in its first two years. Michaels’ work includes his Shoe Guy campaign for League of Dreams, his Man of the Year campaign benefitting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, his launch of the 6615 apparel line that has raised more than $15,000 since its inception, and participation in the Active Bakersfield Alliance. Congratulate Michaels here.
