Cavanah Helms WUSN:
CBS Radio/Chicago VP/Programming Todd Cavanah has been named PD of WUSN, a position open since the departure of Jeff Kapugi (Breaking News 12/6). Cavanah was programming Top 40 WBBM & Classic Hits WJMK when he was promoted to VPP for the market last April. Cavanah started on-air with WBBM in 1990, adding PD duties in '93, and programming duties for WJMK in 2011.
"Todd is the best in the business and I'm thrilled to have his talent and insight focused on one of our premiere brands," says SVP/MM Tim Pohlman. Adds Cavanah, "Programming US99 is a role I really wanted to take on. Country music is all about relationships, from the music itself to how stations connect with listeners and how the industry works together. We have assembled an incredible staff at US99 led by the incomparable Marci Braun and featuring exciting new on-air personalities that are already resonating with local audiences. Together, we will ensure that US99 remains the first choice for Chicagoland's country music fans."
