Field Steps Down: As reported this morning via
Breaking News,
Audacy Pres./CEO
David Field is stepping down with current board member
Kelli Turner taking over as interim Pres./CEO. Turner has been on the board four months and most recently served as CFO of Sun Capital Partners; she was Pres./COO of SESAC from 2018 to 2021 (
CAT 9/8/21). The transition comes two days after the company's year-long Chapter 11 restructuring was closed in bankruptcy court.
Field worked in investment banking prior to joining then-Entercom as President in 1998, succeeding his father Joseph, who founded the company in 1968. The younger Field added CEO duties in 2002, oversaw the company's acquisition of CBS Radio in 2017 (
CAT 2/2/17) and its name change to Audacy in 2021 (
CAT 3/30/21). He will remain as a special advisor to the CEO and board. A search has begun for his replacement. Audacy operates 22 country outlets among its 227 stations in 45 markets.
