Rick & Bubba To Retire: Syndicated Solutions The Rick & Bubba Show hosts Rick Burgess and Bill "Bubba" Bussey, who are based at SummitMedia WZZK/Birmingham, announced their impending retirement this morning (2/1). "We will finish out this year and have a lot of flashbacks and memories," said Burgess in social media post. "Nothing's bad here," Bussey added. "It had to end sometime, and this is the time." Adds EVP/Programming Randy Chase, "Their legacy will continue until Dec. 31, and we are exploring options for the future.” The duo first teamed in 1994 in Gadsden, AL and moved to Birmingham in 1999.
