B&P: Mo/Styckman; Sticks Media; Rucker
Bits & Pieces: Todd Nixon's Sticks Media is acquiring Classic Country KAYQ/Warsaw, MO, from Valkyrie Broadcasting for $135,000. The sale is expected to close in the second quarter. Sticks also owns KTNK-AM & K279CY/Lompoc, CA, which flipped from Country to Classic Hits today (2/10) after several days of stunting (CAT 2/6), and is purchasing Classic Hits WLGR/Glens Falls, NY.
After weeks of teasing, Audacy's Greg "StyckMan" Owens and Melissa "Mo" Wagner unveiled their commercial for the big game last night (2/9), however it was only available on social media. "Big game ads are really expensive," confesses Owens. See their commercial here.
Darius Rucker will host a series of four two-hour shows on Absolute Radio Country/London starting Feb. 23 at 7pm GMT (1pm CT). He will share stories of songs that influenced him along with stories behind his own music. Stream here. Rucker is currently residing in London while writing and recording a new project.
