Anew Norman: Curb CEO Jim Ed Norman received the Bob Kingsley Living Legend Award last night (2/24) during a celebratory dinner at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House benefiting the Opry Trust Fund. More than a dozen artists signed or mentored by Norman during his nearly 50-year career performed for the 200+ attendees, including Mickey Gilley, Big & Rich, Lee Brice, Crystal Gayle, Jeff Hanna, Don Henley, Gary Morris, Michael Martin Murphy, Pinkard & Bowden, Mo Pitney and TG Sheppard. More than 30 video messages and in-person tributes from the likes of Johnny Lee, Janie Fricke, Gene Watson, Anne Murray, Victoria Shaw, Jeff Foxworthy, Kathy Mattea, Jim Lauderdale, Mike Curb, Bill Mayne, Rodney Atkins and a long line of former promo staffers also colored the night.
