WMN's Williams Broadens Role
Warner Music Nashville SVP/Radio Kristen Williams has been promoted to SVP/Radio & Commercial Partnerships. In addition to the company's radio promotion division, her duties will now also encompass retail, streaming, catalog development and direct-to-consumer efforts. It's a return to streaming oversight for Williams, who previously held the title SVP/Radio & Streaming Promotion. Her radio team will continue to operate under its two-pronged model, focusing on both individual stations and national accounts.
"This set-up positions us to work in a more sophisticated way while continuing to super serve our artist community and partners in this ever-changing, dynamic business environment," says WMN Co-Chair/Co-Pres. Ben Kline. "There is nobody better equipped to lead our efforts than Kristen." Adds Williams, "Aligning the radio and commercial partnerships departments, which utilize so much of the same data, will allow us to be both more efficient and more effective with all of our radio and streaming partners, and will also create a more strategic approach for our artists."
Williams was promoted from Dir./National Promotion to VP in 2014 (CAT 2/4/14) and to SVP in 2016 (CAT 9/22/16). Reach her here.
