Country Girl, Interrupted: Universal Music Group Nashville has launched TV and film production arm Sing Me Back Home Productions, to be overseen by UMGN Chair/CEO Cindy Mabe and SVP/Digital Business & Creative Development Dawn Gates. The company will develop documentaries, scripted and unscripted television, feature films and short form content, as well as venturing into music supervision and distribution. Its first project is a docuseries following the personal and professional lives of UMGN duo The War and Treaty. The new company takes its name from the 1967 Merle Haggard song by that title.
