WJKR Goes Classic
Classic: North American WJKR/Columbus, OH rebranded from "Country 103.9" to "Maverick 103.9" and dropped currents for a '90s-based playlist today at noon (2/28). The first songs under the new brand were "How Do You Like Me Now?" "Chattahoochee" and "The Thunder Rolls." WJKR flipped from Adult Hits to Country three years ago (CAT 4/14/22). In the January PPMs, WJKR had a 1.3 share for 17th in the market, behind WCOL's second-place 8.1 share (PPM 2/26). The WJKR airstaff remains intact. Sizzle reel here; stream here.
