Chronicle: Singer/songwriter Warner Mack passed away Tuesday (3/1) at the age of 83 after a lengthy illness. Born Warner McPherson in Nashville, Mack released a string of top 10 hits in the mid '60s that included his signature No. 1 song "The Bridge Washed Out." Injuries from a 1964 car accident kept him from recording and touring for more than a decade. Mack launched his own label and publishing company, Pageboy, in the early '70s. He retired from performing in the early '90s. Arrangements are pending and being handled by Woodbine Hickory Chapel Funeral Home, 5852 Nolensville Pike, Nashville.
