White Lightning: “I am proud of everything we have accomplished together in my time at the Academy of Country Music," says outgoing CEO Damon Whiteside, who, as announced via Breaking News, is stepping down from the position June 30 then continuing as CEO Emeritus until the end of the year. In addition to serving as CEO, Whiteside also executive produced ACM Honors, ACM Our Country and ACM Awards, which was repositioned into a streaming-first event under his leadership. His previous stops include CMA and The Walt Disney Company. The ACM Board has formed a search committee to find his successor.
