MCA VP/Promotion David Friedman has been named to the newly created position of UMG/Nashville VP/Promotion & Strategy. “Over the past year, the UMGN promotion department has evolved, and having someone with David’s vast experience running point on our overall radio strategy makes the department stronger,” says EVP/COO Mike Harris. Adds Friedman, "UMG/Nashville has the best roster in the business, so I’m very excited to expand my role and work with all of our artists in this new capacity." Friedman joined the label group in 2015 from Sony/Nashville (CAT 8/20/15) and rose to his most recent role last year (CAT 1/13/23); reach him here. No word on plans for the MCA position.
