Audacy Cuts
Audacy Cuts: Following its exit from bankruptcy and the departure of longtime Pres./CEO David Field (CAT 1/29), Audacy instituted a round of cuts today (3/6). Sources tell Country Aircheck more than 200 people across all departments were affected. Among the Country departures:
- WPAW/Greensboro morning co-host Dale O'Brian spent nine years with the station, including the first two as PD. His previous stops include Washington, DC, Atlanta and Cincinnati. Reach him here.
- KSON/San Diego Asst. Brand Mgr./MD/midday host Greg Raneiri was on his second tour of duty with the station, having returned in 2023 following label stints with Mercury and Quartz Hill (CAT 5/26/23). Reach Raneiri here.
- Rochester-based Sr. Dir./Activation, Central Team Dave Savage spent five years in the role and 24 total in the Rochester cluster. He can be reached here.
- KWJJ/Portland, OR afternoon host Jamie "JT" Tanchyk, who also served as Brand Mgr. for sister Hot AC KRSK, had five years with the cluster. He added KWJJ duties a year ago (CAT 3/15/24) and previously spent six years with then-Entercom/Seattle. Reach him here.
