SXM's Cantrell Departs:
SXM's Cantrell Departs: Country Radio Hall of Famer Kyle Cantrell is among those let go during SiriusXM’s companywide cutbacks yesterday (CAT 3/6). He leaves after more than two decades with the company, originally joining in 2002, and has handled on-air and programming duties for the Bluegrass Junction and Willie's Roadhouse channels as well as Enlighten, SXM's Gospel brand. A 2019 CRHoF inductee (CAT 2/8/19), Cantrell began his radio career at WMTS/Murfreesboro, TN in 1980 and has spent his entire career in the Middle Tennessee area. He has served as an announcer for the Grand Ole Opry since 1985 and remains in that capacity.
