iHeart Restructing Continues
iHeart Restructing Continues: iHeartMedia SVPP/Waco, Temple & Killeen (TX) Zack Owen has exited. He joined WACO/Waco in 1992 as PD/morning host and remained in those roles for his entire tenure, with the station ranking No. 1 in 56 of the 59 surveys in that time. Owen assumed regional oversight, which included Country KAGG/Bryan-College Station, in 2011 (CAT 10/13/11). Reach him here.
Owen's departure is the latest in an apparent restructing within iHeartMedia. As reported earlier via Breaking News, SVPP/Columbia, SC LJ Smith, whose oversight included Country WCOS, and SVPP/Huntsville, AL Erich West, who also served as PD for Country WDRM have both exited. Their departures follow yesterday's exit of WGAR/Cleveland APD/mornings Steve Wazz (CAT 3/14).
Prior to joining then-Clear Channel in 2002, Smith spent six years as a consultant with Broadcast Programming. Reach him at 803-920-5232 and here. West joined his cluster from iHeartMedia/Macon in 2006 and took over WDRM programming in 2017 (CAT 11/27/17). Reach him at 256-656-3086 and here.
