Recording Industry Association of America (
RIAA) reports U.S. music revenue grew 3% in 2024 for a total estimated retail value of $17.7 billion. This was the ninth consecutive annual increase. Streaming hit 100 million subscriptions for the first time, accounting for 84% of revenue at $14.9b. Physical sales totaled $2b (up 5%), as vinyl sales grew 7% to $1.4b and accounted for 71.6% of physical sales. Full report
