Chronicle: Cliff Blake
Chronicle: Industry veteran Cliff Blake died March 16 following a battle with ALS. After 47 years in the radio and records industries, Blake retired as Columbia Dir./Northeast Regional Promotion in 2018 (CAT 11/7/18), only to quickly join Good Company Entertainment in a regional promotion capacity later that year (CAT 12/28/18). Prior label stops include Warner Bros., Republic Nashville and Arista. His radio career included time at WZZK/Birmingham, WMZQ/Washington, KFKF/Kansas City and WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH. No word on sevices, but on March 13, his communty of Dover, NH, held a "Cliffabration" parade in his honor, in which friends and neighbors gathered in a park, then walked past his home holding signs of support. Find tributes from industry friends here. In lieu of flowers, his family has requested donations to your local arts organization or library, the Compassionate Care ALS organization, the Dover Arts Commission or the Dover Public Library.
