CRS Panel: Josh Ross Song Cycle
Single Mingle: The Core/Mercury's Josh Ross said his “back against the wall” mentality was a major factor in getting “Single Again” to the top of the charts at Wednesday’s (3/18) “Cycle Of A Song” session. “Everything … has 1,000 percent been earned,” agreed manager Tracy Martin. MCA’s Damon Moberly discussed the 71-week ride that made Ross the first Canadian male to earn a U.S. Country No. 1 in 29 years. Universal Music Canada’s Julie Adam moderated, while Spotify’s Jackie Augustus and Runclub Creative’s Julia Robert spoke to Ross’s dedication. Audacy’s Justin Cole summed, “It all came down to the song.”
