Chronicle: Music industry veteran Bob "Norton" Thompson passed away today (3/24) following a brief illness. He was 80. Thompson worked as a road manager and personal assistant and recently released a book Last Encore: My Time With Glenn Frey, The Eagles And Other Hit Artists detailing his experiences. He and his wife Toni founded SoundCheck Nashville in 1993, which he sold in 2004. Services will be private; a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the family with medical expenses here.
