Doing Good WIRK:
Hubbard WIRK/West Palm Beach morning team Tim Leary and Chelsea Taylor experienced "the miracle of radio" this week as the owners of a local restaurant, Morgan's Country Kitchen, can attest. A listener called in to let Leary and Taylor know that her mother's restaurant was probably in its last week of operation, despite being open for curbside, carryout and delivery business. The morning hosts allowed her to share the name of the restaurant and the phone number live on-air. "We didn't think much more about it after that," Leary tells Country Aircheck. "Until [the owner, Patty] called in the next morning." Patty told Leary and Taylor that she received more business the day of the call than she would receive in a typical, non-coronavirus day. Listen to both calls here. And, if you have a bright spot to share about the power of radio and/or music amid the darkness of COVID-19, send your silver linings story to Country Aircheck here.
