Chronicle: Lesly Simon
Chronicle: The country music industry is mourning veteran label executive Lesly Simon, who died yesterday (3/27) at the age of 52 after a seven year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Simon began her career at RCA Label Group in Nashville, served as tour manager for Mindy McCreedy and spent two years doing pop promotion at Capitol before joining Arista/Nashville in 2004, where she rose through the ranks from Regional to National to VP/Promotion. In 2016, she became GM of Garth Brooks' Pearl Records, later adding the same duties for Trisha Yearwood's Gwendolyn Records. Most recently, she operated the Florida residential design and real estate firms Corcoran Reverie and Colgan Simon. Services will begin at 2:30pm Monday (3/31) at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook, AL, with visitation in the church's Graham Hall immediately following. Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society or Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge.
