Show Dog Ends Promotion: As reported Friday (3/31) via Breaking News, Show Dog disbanded its promotion staff effective March 31. Toby Keith launched the label in Sept. 2005 after his departure from Universal. Initially a co-venture with Big Machine, the two shared promotion staffs prior to March 2006, when Big Machine split off to form its own entity. The Show Dog promo staff landed 15 top 10 hits, including six No. 1s for Keith. Show Dog remains a stand-alone label distributed by Thirty Tigers, and its roster includes Keith, his daughter Krystal Keith, Clay Walker and Kimberly Kelly. Eliminated promotion team members include:
