Life Note: Bristol Broadcasting WXBQ/Johnson City, TN morning co-host Ben Walker is in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency that occurred this morning (4/3) on-air. “It started with a break at 6:50am [ET],” shares PD/morning co-host Nikki Thomas via Facebook. “[Ben] seemed fine, but the words coming out of his mouth made no sense at all. We closed the break quickly, and that’s when he went down to the floor.”

Thomas praises quick response from local first responders and says Walker is now able to speak. “We thought we were losing him,” she says. “Pretty terrifying. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.” Thomas says Walker’s wife, Naomi, is continuing to keep the station updated on his progress. Send well-wishes here.
