Richards To KMLE: Former Clear Channel Top 40 KZZP/Phoenix PD Tim Richards has been named PD for crosstown CBS Radio competitor KMLE. Richards, who left KZZP last month, fills the vacancy created by Jeff Garrison's move to Cox/San Antonio as OM and KCYY PD (Breaking News 3/13). Richards' programming background also includes stops in Detroit, Chicago and Tucson. He started in radio at Hot AC WBMX/Boston, where he worked with CBS Radio VP/Programming Greg Strassell.

"I couldn’t be more excited to work with CBS Radio management and the KMLE team," Richards says. "KMLE is a legendary station and it’s an honor to be chosen as the next leader of this incredible brand." CBS Radio/Phoenix SVP/MM Tim Pohlman adds, "Tim was the perfect choice to lead our programming efforts at KMLE. His leadership, prior success and positive attitude will add so much to an already great team."
