Firebird Music and Red Light Ventures have launched Leo33 Records with industry vets Katie Dean and Rachel Fontenot as co-heads. Dean, formerly with MCA, leads Promotion & Artist Development, while Fontenot, formerly with UMG, leads Marketing & Operations. Joining them are Daniel Lee and Natalie Osborne for A&R. “We’re trying to build a model for the future – an entrepreneurial approach that combines the resources of a major with the agility and focus of an independent," says Dean.
