Cox Media Group has agreed to sell its Houston cluster, which includes Country KKBQ & Classic Country KTHT to Urban One, which currently operates three stations in the market. With Cox's four signals, which also includes Classic Rock simulcasters KHPT & KGLK, two signals will need to be spun off as part of the deal. This will mark the second market in which Urban One operates a Country station; the company purchased the Emmis/Indianapolis cluster, which includes Country WLHK, last summer (CAT 6/13/22). Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
