Bits & Pieces: Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio has extended the application deadline for its third annual Country radio mentorship program, presented in partnership with Country Radio Broadcasters. The yearlong program connects one mentee with Country radio leaders for personalized mentorship, strategic introductions and professional development opportunities, plus an opportunity to attend CRS 2027 in Nashville. It is open to women employed full-time at a U.S. Country station with a minimum of five years of industry experience. Big River WXFL/Florence, AL won the statewide Radio Station of the Year prize and three other awards at the Alabama Broadcasters Association's 20th Annual ABBY Awards April 11. The station also won for Medium Market Talk Show (Big Farley in The Morning), Medium Market Personality (M. Fletcher Brown) and Client Event/Promotion (2025 St Patrick's Day Pub Crawl).
