Bits & Pieces: KXLY/Spokane parent company Morgan Murphy Media will receive the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation's 2026 Celebration of Service to America Award in the radio community service category for its Honor Our Fallen fundraiser for firefighters injured and killed in an ambush in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Winners will be honored June 9 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C.
KSCS/Dallas is auctioning off an acoustic guitar signed by Taylor Swift nearly two decades ago and recently found in the back of the station's prize closet. It also includes autographs from Dierks Bentley, Martina McBride, Darius Rucker and others. Money from the auction of what's being billed as "The Lost Taylor Swift Guitar" will go to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. Bid here by April 17 at 9am (CT).
