Four Play: The Library of Congress named 25 recordings for this year's inductions into the National Recording Registry, four of which have Country ties: 1949's "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" by Gene Autry, 1950's "Tennessee Waltz," recorded by Patti Page and written by Redd Stewart and Pee Wee King, 1975's J.D. Crowe & The New South and 1998's Wide Open Spaces by The Chicks. The selected titles are regarded as audio treasures based on their cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation's recorded sound heritage; see full list here.
