Chronicle: Wayne Moss
Chronicle: Nashville guitarist Wayne Moss has died. He played on records for Patsy Cline, George Hamilton IV, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt and many others, and was the owner of Nashville recording studio Cinderella Sound. Roy Orbison Jr. shared on Instagram, "A member of Nashville’s A-team of musicians, Wayne was my dad’s good friend and played on all the Roy Orbison Monument hits: 'Only The Lonely,' 'Crying' and 'Oh, Pretty Woman,' [as well as] thousands of country music hits. That’s his guitar on 'Jolene' by Dolly Parton." Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young called Moss "a musical torchbearer and a creative pathfinder who left his own resounding stamp on music history." Read more about him here.
