Promotion restructuring at the newly renamed MCA (Breaking News) has the Capitol, EMI Nashville, MCA and Mercury staffs reduced to two teams. SVP/Promotion Damon Moberly leads the overall promotion department, with the Capitol & MCA promotion staffs led by VP/Promotion Miranda McDonald and the EMI Nashville & Mercury staffs led by VP/Promotion Jimmy Rector. Additionally, Capitol VP/Promotion Chris Schuler will transition to an as yet undefined role. The new structure is as follows:

VP/Promotion & Strategy David Friedman, Dir./Promotion Katie Bright and Dir./Radio Marketing Houston Gaither will work under the umbrella of parent MCA. The regional staffs are:

• Capitol/Southwest Mara Sidweber, who re-joined the label in 2016 after an initial run from 2005 to 2008; also spent time with Bigger Picture and Southern Ground.
• EMI Nashville/Northeast Mike Krinik, who had been with the label 14 years, previously with Capitol from 2005 to 2009; PD of KBWF/San Francisco in between.
• Mercury/West Coast Sally Green, who had been with the company 20 years.
• Mercury/Southwest rep Jill Brunett, who had been with the company 18 years.
• Mercury Coord. Sean Dolan, who had been in the role two years.
• Capitol Coord. Christopher Raphael-Reily, who joined in January.
