MCA Restructures From Four To Two Staffs

MCA Consolidation: As reported earlier via Breaking News, the consolidation of the four radio promotion departments in the newly rebranded Music Corporation of America (formerly UMG/Nashville) to two has led to the departure of seven promotion staffers:

  • UMGN Dir./Promotion & Radio Marketing Nick Kaper, who joined in 2015.
  • Capitol/Southwest Mara Sidweber, who re-joined the label in 2016 after an initial run from 2005 to 2008. Prior stops include Bigger Picture and Southern Ground.
  • EMI Nashville/Northeast Mike Krinik, who had been with the label for 14 years. He was previously with Capitol from 2005 to 2009 and PD of KBWF/San Francisco in between stints.
  • Mercury/West Coast Sally Green (20 years with the label group).
  • Mercury/Southwest Jill Brunett, who had been with the company 18 years.
  • Mercury Coord. Sean Dolan (two years with the company). 
  • Capitol Coord. Christopher Raphael-Reily, who joined in January.

SVP/Promotion Damon Moberly continues to lead the overall MCA promotion department, and VP/Promotion & Strategy David Friedman, Dir./Promotion Katie Bright and Dir./Radio Marketing Houston Gaither will work under the umbrella of parent MCA. The new promotion staffs are:

  • Annie Sandor
  • Shannon Hogan
  • Ashley Knight
  • Katelyn Lester
  • Megan Youngblood
  • Kenzie Couch (Coord.)

EMI/Mercury, led by Jimmy Rector:

  • Jack Christopher
  • Trudie Daniell
  • Summer Harlow
  • John Trapane
  • Briarman Whitfield
  • Joslyn Richardson (Coord.)
