Estate Scale: Sandbox Entertainment's Josh Matas has been tapped to lead the company's new estate management division, Sandbox Succession. He'll work alongside Sandbox Entertainment Pres./CEO Jason Owen on the management and preservation of clients including Richard Petty, Johnny Cash, June Carter and The Carter Family. "Audiences have shown a continued reverence for this particular collection of individuals – and that's where we as brand managers are excited by the idea of not only presenting sustainable business models, but also continuing to tell their stories as a pillar of the greater cultural landscape," says Matas, who joined the company in 2014 to oversee domestic and international marketing (CAT 11/12/14). Prior stops include Sony Pictures, Dreamworks Studios and Fine Line Features.
