KUZZ's Emery To Leave: Buck Owens KUZZ/Bakersfield midday host Geoff Emery is stepping down May 14 after 25 years. He will continue to be heard in a part-time capacity in weekends. “Thank you for making this the most incredible adventure of my career,” says Emery via Facebook. “To look at a pair of ACM Awards on our mantle at home, and to get a nomination this final year, is beyond what I could express.” PD Brent Michaels tells Country Aircheck, "Geoff is one of the signature voices to ever be on the KUZZ airwaves. While I'm excited for him that he has a new opportunity outside of radio, he will be mised by our audience and his colleagues." Emery has been with KUZZ since July 1996 and was previously partnered in mornings for 18 years with Steve Gradowitz, who retired last year (CAT 8/28/20). Reach Emery here. Michaels is now looking for Emery’s successor; send résumés and airchecks to him here.
