You'll Beale In My Heart: Former Flinn Classic Hits WHBQ & Rock WIVG/Memphis on-air personality Andrew “Latty” Latimer will join crosstown Cumulus Country WGKX for mornings May 31. He fills the vacancy created by the February departure of Duane Shannon and Abby Summers (CAT 2/8). “[Andrew] is high-energy, smart, creative and lives an active lifestyle with a great work ethic,” says VP/MM Morgan Bohannon. Adds PD Chad Heritage, “He knows the market and is going to bring a lot of energy and creativity to Cumulus/Memphis and will help make the Kix 106 brand even bigger and better.” Latimer left the Finn/Memphis cluster in Oct. 2020 after more than six years and previously spent five years with then-Clear Channel/Memphis. He continues to host the video-based Pop X Podcast.
