New Inland Emperor: As reported earlier via Breaking News, CBS Radio KFRG/Riverside MD/morning co-host Scott Ward has been promoted to PD, succeeding retiring OM/PD Lee Douglas. Ward has worked at the station for 22 years and will continue to host wakeups. Douglas tells Country Aircheck, "We've been in the same house for 12 years, so it's time to fix it up." On whether he will return home to Utah, Douglas laughs, "Everytime we go home for Christmas, I remember its cold there. I'm a Desert Rat now." Douglas moved to the station in 2003 after stops in Salt Lake City, Chicago and San Francisco. Reach him at 951-237-9529 or here. Reach Ward here.
