Retire Meant: McKenzie River KKNU/Eugene, OR PD Jim Davis is retiring July 31 after a 50-year radio career, 31 of those with KKNU. McKenzie River Dir./Programming & Operations and sister AC KMGE PD Jeff Baird will assume KKNU programming. Davis says, "It has been a wild ride! A very surreal life. A life made possible by so many brilliant teachers and mentors, as well as owners, GMs, PDs, teammates, friends and family who gave me their time, knowledge, patience and support needed to survive and thrive this half century."
