Chronicle: Former radio executive
Scott Ginsburg passed away May 26 at the age of 71. He entered radio ownership in 1983, and founded several companies, the largest of which, Chancellor Media, owned Country stations WUBE/Cincinnati, WWWW/Detroit, KEEY/Mineeapolis, KMLE/Phoenix and WMZQ/Washington. Chancellor was the largest billing radio company before the 1999 merger with Capstar that formed AMFM, which eventually merged with Clear Channel and ultimately became iHeartMedia.
