Cumulus/Nashville Update
Cumulus/Nashville Changes Continue: Cumulus WSM-FM/Nashville midday host Lisa Manning has exited. This follows yesterday's exit of morning host Marty McFly and afternoon host Stew James (CAT 6/2), and the shedding of its "Nash Icon" identity. The station is now running jockless and continues to tease "changes coming soon." WSM-FM's website has been updated to list Big D & Bubba (currently heard on sister WKDF) in mornings and WKDF afternoon host Tyler Reese in the same daypart on WSM-FM, replacing James; no talent is listed in middays. In turn, the WKDF website now lists PD Travis Daily in afternoons and "music" in the 6am to 10am window, with Amy Paige still in middays. Neither station has made any shifts musically, with WSM-FM at 96% gold and WKDF 77% current/recurrent as of June 2, according to Mediabase.
Manning joined WSM-FM in 2011 (CAT 4/19/11) and spent time in afternoons and mornings before moving to middays. Prior to WSM-FM, she spent 18 years in Nashville radio at Classic Rock WGFX, WKDF and WSM-AM. Reach her here.
