Cumulus VP/Programming Ops Doug Hamand To Retire
Hamand To Retire: Cumulus VP/Programming Operations Doug Hamand is retiring at the end of June after a 48-year radio career. He joined Cumulus in 2016 (CAT 1/26/16) after 21 years serving in various roles, including SVP/Programming at iHeartMedia and its predecessors, which included a long run in Tampa. Hamand shared the news on Facebook this afternoon (6/3), writing, "I've had a ball ... Radio has given me more than I ever could have imagined when this journey began nearly five decades ago. But now, while my grandchildren are still at that age where they actually want to spend time with me, it’s time to put family first. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this ride — it’s meant a great deal to me." Reach Hamand here through the end of the month and here after that.
