MCA Lays Off Several Staffers

MCA Cuts Staff: A round of layoffs at MCA (formerly UMG/Nashville) has affected a dozen staffers, including VP/Media Marketing Leigh Malleus, VP/Strategic Marketing Gary Keffer, VP/Creative Services Karen Naff and Capitol/MCA Nashville Dir./Regional Promotion Megan Youngblood.
Also departing are Sr. Dir./E-Commerce & Retail Troy Scott, Sr. Dir./Marketing & Creative Services Michelle Hall, Dir./Strategic Marketing Kathryn Huffman, Sr. Dir/Digital Marketing Leah Ducey, Mgr./A&R Sarah Marie Burke, Dir./Marketing & Artist Development Lindsey Terry, Dir./Marketing & Project Mgmt. Alyssa Logan and Dir./Streaming Marketing Chance Maxwell.
Malleus joined the company in 2013 and was promoted to her most recent role in 2020 (Breaking News 6/9/20). Reach her here. Scott joined in 2014 and has been in his most recent role since 2023. Hall had been in her position since 1997. Huffman joined the label group in 2017 and rose to her most recent position in 2022. Ducey joined in 2020 and rose to her most recent position two years later. Burke joined in 2007 and rose to Mgr./A&R in 2012. Terry joined in 2019 and rose to her most recent position in 2022. Logan joined from Vere Music in 2023. Maxwell joined the staff in 2018, rising to his most recent role in 2023.
