Chronicle: Singer/songwriter
Mark James passed away June 8. He was 83. Born Francis Zambon in Houston, he was childhood friends with B.J. Thomas, who later helped get him into the music business in Memphis. James wrote "Suspicious Minds," "Moody Blue," "Hooked On A Feeling" and "Always On My Mind," the latter of which won the Grammy for Song of the Year in 1983, and was named CMA Song of the Year in both 1982 and 1983. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014 and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015. Arrangements are still
