WDRQ Changes

WDRQ Sold: Following yesterday's exit of PD David Corey (CAT 6/12), Cumulus has confirmed it is selling WDRQ/Detroit to non-commercial religious broadcaster Family Life Broadcasting System for $10 million. See the FCC filing here. A closing date has not been set, but the sale is not expected to be finalized until later this summer. The station is now jockless in mornings, and the entire airstaff will exit with the exception of morning co-host Aaron "Goose" Seller, who will remain with the company in a yet-to-be-specified capacity.
- Morning co-host Renee Vitale was on her second stint with the station, and previously served as the local anchor for the Ty, Kelly & Chuck morning show. Reach her here.
- Midday host Marissa Lanchak joined three months ago (CAT 3/31) with prior stops at WKLB/Boston and WGNA/Albany, NY. Reach her here.
- Afternoon host Kevin Kennedy joined at the end of 2021 (CAT 12/6/21) after stops including WKLB/Boston and Top 40 KIIS/Los Angeles. Reach him here.
