Fit For A Kingsley: KCCS ProductionsNan Kingsley has finalized a donation agreement with Weatherford College, wherein Bluestem Studios, former home to Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40, will be acquired by Weatherford and named the Nan and Bob Kingsley Building. “[Nan and Bob’s] gift will benefit countless students for generations to come, all while honoring the memory and Hall of Fame career of Bob Kingsley,” says WC Pres. Dr. Tod Allen Farmer. A majority of Kingsley’s Bluestem Studios building is being donated by the Kingsley estate with a portion purchased by WC. The facilities are located near the Alkek Fine Arts Center on the WC campus. National Radio Hall of Famer and Country Radio Hall of Famer Bob Kingsley passed away in October at the age of 80 following a battle with bladder cancer (CAT 10/17/19). His widow, Nan Kingsley, retains KCCS Productions and, in a multi-year partnership with Hubbard, launched a new iteration of the countdown hosted by Fitz in December (CAT 12/19/19).
