Reve-News:
Investment company Atairos and NBCUniversal have closed on their strategic investment in Ryman Hospitality, which was announced in April (CAT 4/5). The purchase is a 30% stake (valued at approximately $296 million) of Ryman Hospitality's Opry Entertainment Group (OEG), which owns the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, WSM-AM/Nashville, 50% of the TV channel Circle and more than 11,000 hours of archived Opry content. "This deal is a meaningful step forward for OEG on a path towards its independence from our REIT structure and delevers RHP’s balance sheet to allow continued reinvestment in RHP’s leading group hospitality business," says Ryman CEO Colin Reed.
