Sorry, Charlie: West Virginia Radio will move the format of WKAZ/Charleston, WV from 107.3 (23,500 watts) to WKAZ-AM (10,000 watts day/221 watts night) and its translator W237AZ (175 watts) on June 26. The station will be branded with the translator's 95.3 frequency. This was the third time 107.3 carried a Country format, the latest iteration dating back three years (CAT 4/3/20). WKAZ pulled a 2.1 share, ranking 9th in the Fall Nielsen survey (CAT 1/27), behind sister Classic Country WKWS' 7.3 share (4th) and market leader Bristol WQBE, which had an 11.0 share.
