Grammy Rules Updated
New & Approved: The Recording Academy has made several rule updates ahead of the 2027 Grammy Awards. Among them, the number of years an artist can be submitted in the Best New Artist category rises from three to four. In the album categories, the threshold of new recordings required on an eligible project is lowered from 75% to 66%. And songwriters and composers of new material on the winning albums in most genre album categories will now receive Grammy statuettes and Achievement Certificates in parity with the recognition currently afforded to producers and engineers in those categories.
