Hartford Hop:
Former CBS Radio Hot AC WTIC/Hartford afternoon host Damon Scott crosses the street to iHeartMedia WWYZ for mornings, succeeding Broadway, who has exited. Scott announced his departure from 'TIC yesterday and joins station vet Cory Myers for wakeups July 5. “We are excited that a well-known local personality like Damon Scott is joining longtime morning host, Cory Myers,” says Pres./Hartford Region Steve Honeycomb. “Damon Scott is a familiar name that has been on the radio in Connecticut for years. He understands how to connect with listeners and the local community as well as what it takes to be successful in radio.” Scott adds, "When you leave on a high note after 27 successful years, you need a special plan for your return." Broadway moved to Hartford in 2012 from WKIS/Miami (CAT 12/10/12). He had also been voicetracking for WBCT/Grand Rapids and WWBL/Boston. Reach him here.
