Charli McKenzie To Depart WNCY
Checkpoint Charli: Midwest WNCY/Appleton-Green Bay MD/morning co-host Charli McKenzie will be leaving Aug. 1 to move closer to family in Michigan, something she tells Country Aircheck was "a tough decision after 20 years." McKenzie has been wakeup co-host at the station for two decades, currently paired with Randy "Shotgun" Shannon, and plans to announce her departure to her listeners July 18. In Michigan, she'll be setting up a home studio to continue voicetracking and voiceover work. Reach her here through the end of July, and here after that.
WNCY Brand Mgr. Dan Stone is seeking her successor in mornings. Send audio, resume and references to him here, or by mail to 1420 Bellevue St., Green Bay, WI 54311.
