Stevens Steps Down
Meg-Stevens.jpg

Following last week's induction into the Country Radio Hall of Fame (6/19), iHeartMedia/Atlanta SVPP Meg Stevens has told local staff of her intention to step down and assume an advisory role. "I can confirm that I am moving to a different role in the company," she tells Country Aircheck, "and I'm excited to continue working with [EVP/Country Programming Strategy] Rod Phillips and the iHeartCountry team."

Stevens started in Country at WBBS/Syracuse in 1993, rising from MD to PD over seven years. A six-year tenure at WGAR/Cleveland was next, followed by 11 years over both WMZQ/Washington, DC and WPOC/Baltimore. Stevens then landed in Charlotte to program WKKT and serve as SVPP for the iHeartMedia/Charlotte cluster. In 2019, she moved to Atlanta in the same capacity, where her oversight includes WUBL (CAT 3/12/19). See our interview with Stevens in Country Aircheck's June print edition here. Reach her here. No word on plans for the position.
